Julien Denormandie is a French politician born on August 14, 1980 in Cahors. He is a member of the political party La RĂ©publique En Marche (LREM). Denormandie was elected deputy for the first constituency of Aisne in the 2017 legislative elections.
He has held several positions in the French government, including as Secretary of State to the Minister of Territorial Cohesion in Édouard Philippe's government from June 2017. He subsequently became Minister for Cities and Housing in Édouard Philippe's government in October 2018, and then in Jean Castex's government from July 2020 as Minister for Agriculture and Food until 2022.
Denormandie is renowned for his commitment to social housing and urban policy in France. In particular, he has worked on measures to encourage the construction of affordable housing and combat social exclusion in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
